Bio

A producer and an illustrator starting a band can only mean trouble, but add unlimited access to a recording studio filled with hand-made gadgets and Swedish cider, and, well, you have Echo Kid. And as possibly strange as the combination of two deft artistic minds, oodles of sleep deprivation and jolly good times could be, Echo Kid actually turned out stranger. Like that wonderfully weird friend you had as a kid, but don’t see anymore because now he’s just proper weird. Fun, funny and never far from a sense of madness; Echo Kid are as much about unorthodox sounds as they are about unorthodox songs, and – for their entertainment and the entertainment of others – what happens when you plough the two head-on. Echo Kid are... Laurie McCallum and Johnny Foley

This is pretty weird stuff. But weird good. Gives me feelings of Of Montreal, The Unicorns and Architecture In Helsinki. All good feelings. 3.5
