Bio

Hailing from Sydney and currently making a name for himself as an artist in Australia and the UK. 24 year old Ed Wells has developed his own unique blend of modern-day, classic soul. Wells is a performer by nature; a highly-skilled, highly-accomplished pianist with smooth vocals like a hot cup of coffee on a winter’s morning. He showcased these talents with a performance of his song “Midnight Man” for Sofar Sounds London and has performed at distinguished venues like Troubadour Club (past performers include Bob Dylan and Adele). He recently came home to play a few tunes to SoFar crowds in Sydney and polish new material for his forthcoming EP. This new track features the delicious vocals of new talent Abby Bella May. “1983” Ed Wells’ latest release is a unique, acoustic and electronic fusion with elements of D’Angelo and Jordan Rakei. Wells takes on today’s technology-obsessed society, begging the question “What can I do to stay just like me?”. “1983” is released across all streaming services on Friday, March 1st.

This is a Tasty lil remix. the 12/8 swing vibe on the beat is radical

This remix is like taking Buckley and Corby to the house night at the wine bar.

about two years ago, I had the absolute pleasure of seeing you live. It's a performance that's stuck with me since then, because of this sorta song - deeply soulful vocals paired with that all-encompassing electro production that sweeps you up and stops you in your tracks.
