Bio

EKKO have been playing together for 5 years now. Their sound is constantly developing, a blend of Alternative rock that delves into the realms of post, progressive and psych rock.

After being chosen to support The Brian Jonestown Massacre on their Australian tour, the band released their debut EP in June 2018. Recorded in Nth Melbourne's Newmarket Studio's in October 2017 the 3 track EP ebbs and flows in and out of many moods and genre's. The songs are explorative and each build to a climax, as does the EP as a whole; from the stripped back guitar and two voice intro of opener Tigerlily, until peaking amidst the chaos of final track Devilish's post rock outro.

This is such a diverse track. I mean I guess it should be because it's 9 mins long! The whole 9 minutes feel justified in the way the mood changes almost like a symphony. Every part matches really well in this group.
