Bio

Genre-splicing Bunbury lads El Dorado are set to release their first studio E.P. in November 2017.

El Dorado came to life in 2016 when long term mates and Bunbury locals Shaun Davis, Jarrad ‘Junior’ Bowles, Kristjan Vredenbregt and Brendan Clark noticed their garage jams were sounding less and less rubbish.

After debuting at Perenjori’s Blues For the Bush festival in 2016 where they supported Aussie blues juggernauts, The Backsliders, El Dorado have since weaselled their way into shows supporting the likes of Hussy Hicks, Odlaw and Carus Thompson.

Recorded, mixed and mastered with acclaimed engineer and fellow Bunbury comrade, James Newhouse (The Waifs, San Cisco), the 5-track E.P. was designed to showcase the multiple musical personalities of the band.

“We learned very quickly that we couldn’t settle on one specific sort of sound, we have too broader influences so we had to sort of merge them together. We couldn’t settle on any individual style in its entirety, but throw it all in there together, country, rock, blues, funk, whatever, and we can make it work,” frontman Shaun Davis said of the E.P.

El Dorado’s 5-track E.P. will be launched over a series of soon to be announced shows across October and November in Bunbury and Perth. The first single, and dancefloor greaser I Like The Way You Do It can be heard HERE or at www.soundcloud.com/eldoradotheband and is free to download.
