Bio

Electric Exiles share a love for the gritty and groovier side of pop. Their debut single ‘A Dizzy Fashion’ was mixed by Dylan Adams (DMA’s, Sticky Fingers). The music and culture website, Tone Deaf, premiered their debut single calling it "An absolute captivating fuzz pop gem.”

Assembling mid-2014 in Adelaide as a result of long time friendships and meeting at local gigs, the band quickly built a strong presence throughout the following year supporting Aussie favourites The Preatures, Harts and Citizen Kay. The band prides themselves on their highly energetic and electric live show, which is not to be missed.

Electric Exiles Garage Disco-Pop sound draws influence from the 60’s, 70’s and 90’s, delivering high-energy vocals over gritty guitar tones with feathering keys that swirl through a rolling rhythm section.

The band kicked off 2016 relocating to Melbourne to begin work on their debut EP, due for release later this year. Electric Exiles are: John-Paul (Vocals, Guitar) Danny (bass), Matt (keys) and Teon (drums).

Surprised not to see The Hives in your influences because that tempo change is a very Hives-y trick. Welcome to Unearthed!

Super crunchy catchy crispy song. Love the la la la bit. Throwback rock and roll at its best, reminds me of The Strokes and other good things

Holy Crap Batman!!! This song is awesome, I love the in your face big chorus. Great sound, Great singing, Great drumming. Seriously for a local Adelaide band this is some top quality shit, that should be in the charts. If the Electric Exiles keep producing songs like this, Hopefully it won't be long until they're not just a local band.
