Artist:Elkwood

Elkwood are a four-piece, all girl group hailing from Perth, Western Australia. Formed mid-2013 the band consists of Rosie Jones (Lead Vocals & Keys), Samantha Goddard (Bass & Vocals), Alisa Menzies (Guitar & Vocals) and Katie Wilson (Drums). Having been described as “re-imagined-60’s-love jam-meets-indie-pop” (X-Press Magazine), the band’s style is bred from a myriad of alternative genres, taking influence from favourite’s Cloud Control, Arctic Monkeys, Jefferson Airplane, The Cure and Cyndi Lauper. In late 2013, the girls scored the lead single position on Richmond Street Records ‘Blender’ Compilation album with their fan-favourite ‘Martha’. The band was also lucky enough to be selected to play the Wetlands stage at the 2013 WAM festival, where they showed promise to an enthusiastic crowd.
