With his unique blend of hard hitting and harrowing, yet undeniably catchy lyricism, Adelaide based, Naracoorte raised, singer/songwriter Elliott Johnson has worked his way into the beer-soaked hearts and vocal chords of fans far and wide. “The honesty of the lyrics makes the songs so inviting and seemingly easy to sing along to, even when it comes to tragedies like the focus of Cornflakes and Cigarettes, which is a very hard thing to do.”
Originally a solo acoustic bedroom project, the recording of his debut album “Homesick” in 2017 saw the switch to a three-piece band, with session musicians and long time friends Isaac Noles (drums) and Joey Fitzgerald (guitar) joining up.
After performing at Aquinas College’s Pondshow in 2018, Alex Boksem was added to the fold to bring some sweet, juicy bass and crooning backup vocals.
2018 was a big year for the four piece, with headline shows for the Velvet Sessions as well as festival slots at Pondshow and Marksenfest, the bar has been set high going into 2019, but the boys are up for the challenge!
With new music in the works and some big shows to announce, 2019 is shaping up to be a big one.
Keep ya eyes peeled!
