Artist:The Embers

The embers have been smouldering away in and amongst the island of Tasmania since 2005. Sometimes burning brightly, sometimes flickering in the darkness of night, but always smouldering. They are one of Tasmania’s most sought after live bands, attracting a diverse crowd with their eclectic genre bending style. You can catch them grooving to a reggae beat, flowing to some folk, swaying to a sea shanty, jumping to a dance beat or stomping out some seedy blues... Their past has seen them take out the National Campus Band Competition, named Next Crop Artist by Triple j and become a regular act at festivals across their wild state including numerous appearances at The Falls Festival as well as gigs with many of their favourite bands such as The Violent Femmes, The Whitlams, Lior, Bomba, The Red Eyes & True Live.
