Bio

Soulful and melancholic, Emily Jane’s music is reminiscent of artists like Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Keaton Henson. Centred around simplicity and vulnerability, Emily and her guitar aim to tell a story with every song. Her songs are not only a reflection of her own life, but an invitation for listeners to reflect on theirs. Currently, Emily is studying at Queensland Conservatorium’s Bachelor of Popular Music. She has played at various venues such as Hard Rock Café, The Milk Factory, Queen’s Baton Relay for the 2018 Commonwealth Games and events for Bleach Festival as well as many more around her local Gold Coast and Brisbane area.

I tend to opt for more upbeat songs when putting together my playlists but there is so much talent in this song that it can't be ignored. The strings are a lovely touch too.
