From the wide open plains of Queensland’s Atherton Tablelands and the rainforest’s reaching high above Cairns comes Emily Josephine - Singer, songwriter and guitarist now resident in Melbourne. Drawn to the stagecraft of numerous international and local performing artists through her connection to the Tablelands Folk Festival in Yungaburra, from a young age, Emily was inspired to explore her deeper love of songs and songwriting. Emily's influences include The Paperkites, Haitus Kaiyote and Ben Howard. “I think (my first single) ’Love Bird's' intention is to create a sense of freedom and release after enduring something painful. As an artist, Ben Howard is the perfect example of what I am trying to achieve through my music which is just honest storytelling and not compromising on who you are in any way.”
