The filthy riffs of Empire Burlesque are mixed in smoothly with their blues inspired rock n roll, with Andy Grieve lead vocals and guitar, Jacob Condon lead guitar, James Bunn on bass, and Joel Mansfield on drums. The Newcastle band’s passion lies with playing live shows and delivers its originally scribed tunes with captivating and electric energy, through its fresh and distinctive sound. Empire Burlesque have played several gigs in Newcastle and Sydney, many of which in support of some incredible national and international acts. These include: Ben Kweller, Oh Mercy, Philadelphia Grand Jury and Kid Confucius. Also with the likes of Silverchair, The Black Keys and You Am I at the 2007 ‘Groovin’ The Moo’ Festival.
