Bio

A Melbourne based singer/songwriter with an affinity for story telling, Ernest has been writing and performing for 13 years. He has been on the bill at festivals including Folk Rhythm and Life, Corrinbank festival in Canberra and Apollo Bay. He earned a spot in the Apollo Bay young songwriter competition at the age of 21 taking out first place. He was a top 4 finalist in the International songwriting competition and a Melbourne songwriting competition finalist.

Ernest paints a tremendously vivid tapestry with a distinguished pallet of colours that are provided through his deep understanding of refined lyricism, with tastes that roam various folk styles through to Celtic traditional and far beyond… His melodies are riddled with understated complexity, sounds disengage the listeners defences and deliver a plethora of hidden messages straight to their soul.

I love this song, it's a real story from start to finish. It's so polished and whenever I listen to it, it clears my head and forces me to listen to every word. Beautiful harmonies too!

A toe tapper definatly. Love how smooth the chords progress and how your voice gently fades in and out. Nice man.
