      About

The sons and daughters of Melbourne’s first wave of punks, Max, Bonnie, Milo, and Finne grew up on a healthy diet of Rowland S. Howard, Sonic Youth, and Les Rallizes Dénudés. With swirling guitars, chugging bass lines, and Max snarling like a man possessed, ESC are part of a new generation of dark, brooding antipode rockers. ESC released their four-track debut EP in July 2013 which received Inpress EP of the week. Their single ‘Atomic Shadow’ was picked up by Rage as ‘Indie of the Week’ also featured on Mess+Noise, Poncho TV, and All I Do Is Listen. http://escbandcamp.bandcamp.com/ "Haunting, rhythmic guitar music that grips the listener effortlessly" - Jan Wisniewski (Inpress) "ESC provide sultry, swaying post-rock, like HTRK meets Sigur Ros meets Joy Division meets Chrome. Any one of those bands being involved in the influences of someone is post-worthy, but all four? You’ve found yourself a goddamn saviour of music." - Ryan Saar (Soundly Sounds)
