Originally hailing from the coastal city of Newcastle, The Evening Son are a 4 piece that formed in 2005 and are now developing a reputation as a contender in the Australian rock scene amongst fresh ears, audiophiles and peers. This band has impact. Sonically, visually and lyrically. The Evening Son are finding the balance point at which "prog" can be palatable for any seeker of music. Their live show is somewhat sonically oxymoronic.....being regimented and mechanical. Yet organic and free flowing with room for the unexpected. Vibrant melodies, with a dark edge. Complete chaos, in to hypnotic silence..... The rough terrain of contrasting sections will pull you in.
