Evol Walks are a hard, hitting five -piece Australian rock and roll band who have been making a lot of noise since exploding onto the scene in early 2014.
Earmarked by industry tastemakers as a band to watch, Evol Walks are a blend of classic, riff driven rock and roll distinguished by raw, powerful female vocals and blistering guitar riffs. “If Greenday and Joan Jett had a kid- it would be Evol Walks” (Jon Lee, HKG FM)
After the band were invited to record their debut EP with award-winning producer Brian Howes (Airbourne, Daughtry, Simple Plan, Hinder), they were invited to launch their uniquely raw, rock n roll style at the prestigious Global Rock Summit at Musexpo held at the famous Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California in 2014. Spending the bulk of 2014 in the studio honing their sound, Evol Walks released their first single ‘Heartbreakin’ Woman’ to the public in September 2014. It was picked up for regular rotation on Triple M in Australia as well as receiving airplay on other commercial, community and Internet radio stations worldwide.
February 2015 saw Evol Walks return to their homeland, Australia, to release their hotly anticipated second single ‘Buzzed’, which was named as one of the Top 4 releases to commercial radio by the industry website ‘The Music Network’ . They went on to say- “Buzzed comes at you in spurts of unapologetic raw epics. It’s Monster Magnet at their most accessible, Stone Sour before the first breakup – it’s nuanced and decisive.”
In support of this single, Evol Walks embarked on a 14- date tour of Australia which included a support slot for up and comers ‘The Lazy’s’.
Evol Walks have returned to the USA to once again showcase at the Global Rock Summit in Hollywood in April 2015, as well as play select shows at iconic venues such as The Viper Room, The Rainbow and Whiskey a Go-Go.
The band are heading to Europe to play Europe's largest music festival, Pryzstanek Woodstock alongside Black Label Society, Dream Theatre and Flogging Molly before returning home to Australia in September to headline the Mitchell Creek Rock and Blues Festival. They will be touring the country in support of their debut EP.
