Bio

FETES is the new psych/pop/electronica project by Sydney singer-songwriter Cristian Campano who now joins forces with producer and multi-instrumentalist Michael Hardy (who’s played with Ro, WAAX, John Butler Trio) to make the act a duo.

FETES new single ‘In The Middle’ is a cathartic tale of heartbreak driven by psych pop melodies. Campano says of the track ‘Sometimes you’re stuck in the middle of a conflict and you find yourself helpless to fix the situation so all you can do is try and be mentally strong for yourself and those involved.’ The single was co-produced by Kuren and mixed and mastered by Lachy West (Walk The Moon, The Griswolds).

FETES previous single ‘Waiting For You’ was a finalist in Happy’s ‘Needle In The Hay’ song competition and received praising reviews overseas.

it's like floating in a multi coloured galaxy then being swallowed up by a bright incandescent rainbow and sliding around at a solid pace.

totally with tommy that this sounds like a middle ground between kuren and fetes but in a new space and not just glued together clumsily. it's a cool blend of psych and uplifting beats.

Love it when two artists with their own sounds come togetherness on something that sounds like neither. This is that.
