Bio

To start a conversation, nothing more is needed than to walk up to a group of people and announce, "Fifty Five Light!", a band so obscure that it will immediatley get people asking: "what the bloody hell is this guy smoking?" Hailing from the rough-and-tumble metropolis of Newcastle, the boys of Fifty Five Light play their instruments with a professional precision, even if no-one is usually listening to them. When asked about the band's quality at live shows, Andrew G, keyboard player and band redhead, said "we don't care if no-one gives a flying flap about what we're playing. We are our own fans!", in recognition of just how desparate this band really is. When asked the same question, Adam, the band's drummer/cool dude extraordinaire, could not reply due to the copious amounts of drool frothing from his mouth, an attempt to conform with the drummer stereotype. In recognition of their efforts, Fifty Five Light have won no awards, acclamations or even recogniton, and have only ever been paid as a bribe to finish their set early. However, as they are only 17-18, they have plenty of time left to continue this trend. The next step that the band wishes to take is the formation of a street team, the 'Light Brigade', possibly the first street team in the world that has not even heard of the band it is promoting. Clearly, good times are a'coming for Fifty Five Light! :)

a very simple and straightforward yet well crafted song. i love the contrast between the two verses, which both fit the song so well. the little pauses and breaks are cool, and the chorus is loud and intense. i particularly like the buildup at the end with the harmonised guitar feedback. well done, a catchy single written by a young yet mature band
