Bio

Emerging as one of the cities’ most exciting new bands, Flamingo is a product of Adelaide’s diversifying musical pallet. A three-piece, who discovered the importance of balance dabbling in a concoction of ill down-tempo drum patterns, infectious melody and off-kilter electronica.
Owing their sound to an exposure of various styles and substances whilst supporting the likes of Bonobo, Rüfüs, Giraffage and The Kite String Tangle, Flamingo is the cultivation of determined artistry striving to grow within vibrant culture.

Groovin The Moo and Splendour In The Grass spots brought the trio to the forefront of (imaginations), exhibiting Flamingo in their natural dwelling – a live habitat to which galvanizing audiences with rawkus live performance is only natural.

Praise garnered thick and fast on the back of sophomore EP ‘DRIP AWAY’ released through Etc Etc, coinciding with the band’s first national headline tour which saw the trio visit Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

So nice to hear from you guys again! Look, it's no "Slow Burning" (personal fave), but this is a fun and upbeat number. If anything, it really showcases your versatility and ability as a band to change tempo quite effortlessly. Hoping this year will be busy for ya'll!

More exquisite slow motion electronic stuff from these Adelaide guns. Nice to hear the female presence of Hunt on the track too.

You're wonderful! It puffs and glows. that static rhythm is hypnotising.
