Flightless are a 4 piece Sydney-based band. Having been friends in school the band members met through their love of music. Finally forming in 2004, Flightless spent a year in the rehearsal studios refining their sound. Flightless encompass a wide range of musical influences to create their style which can be described as modern alternate rock. These influences include Eskimo Joe, Powderfinger, Gyroscope, Foo Fighters, Silverchair, Something for Kate and The Beatles. Having gigged around Sydney for the past year, Flightless have played with bands including Tripgauge, Masonia and Modular lounge and have become popular at venues such as Caringbah Bizzo’s, Vic on the Park and Cat and Fiddle. Being a self-managed band, Flightless have actively saught fans through their gigs and on-line through MySpace and their website.
