Bio

FLOSSY (WA), fronted by sisters Lauren & Sinead O'Hara, have been taking audiences by storm over the past couple of years with their energetic live shows. Jam packed with punchy, bass driven melodies and perfectly synced harmonies, this band has a knack for writing jump-up-and-down-worthy songs with just the right amount of attitude and angst.

The WAM Nominated band (Most Popular New Act, 2017) have supported some big National and International names in a short time. They’ve performed with the likes of Gyroscope, Jebediah, Abbe May, Luca Brasi, End of Fashion, WAAX, The Bleeding Knees Club, Body Type, Good Doogs and BOAT SHOW, as well as Tigers Jaw (US), Radio Moscow (US), The Gooch Palms (LA), together PANGEA (LA) and Big Country (UK).
FLOSSY released their debut self-titled EP on April 28, 2018 and toured it across the country to both Melbourne and Sydney. Now they’re headed back with brand new Single in tow called ‘Holiday’.

‘Holiday’ is a walk down a busy inner city street, coming to terms with the reality of your mundane life, only to f**k it all off and jump in a convertible with your best mate or lover and drive off into the sunset to god knows where. It’s a slight move away from their earlier darker themes and a bit of a nod towards just letting go and having fun. This is one that you won’t be able to get out of your head.

The ‘Holiday’ tour will see FLOSSY perform shows in Wollongong, Sydney, Melbourne and their hometown of Perth, as well as appearing at the St. Kilda Festival (VIC) on the New Music Stage, and City Limits Festival (WA) with the likes of Regurgitator, DZ Deathrays, Tropical F**k Storm and more.

2019 is an exciting year for this band.

You've got the spirit of so many bands I love, and wrapped it all up in a song that just makes me * feel * good *.
