Five piece Rock band from Perth, Western Australia. Demo 2011 released in May. Foxes 5 Track released February 2012 http://www.foxes.Through the tornado of chaotic post-punk and screamo that Foxes have created on their debut album, Organic Vessels, are glimpses of serenity; delicate instrumental moments that form an underlay for a relentless delivery of caustic vocals and jagged, poetic lyrics. The Perth five-piece, with just a handful of years under their belt, have created an album that reflects the glowing, often bewildered reviews their jaw-dropping live shows have garnered.
Foxes have toured Australia twice, which has led them to share the stage with some of the artists that have directly influenced them, such as a Mewithoutyou, La Dispute, Funeral For A Friend, and Senses Fail. Far from being the progeny, however, Foxes' debut album shows that they are making music that is as cutting edge as any of their peers.
Led by first single Stomp The Earthworm, with its kaleidoscopic arrangement of ideas and moods, Organic Vessels is first and foremost a collection of beautifully-written songs. Swelling tension with its unremitting beat, Stomp The Earthworm displays the vastness of the musical universe Foxes can create, as Shom drives the song home amidst a cacophonous crescendo. The band's ferocity and their grace both on display.
One of Perth's most promising new bands, Foxes have already found renown in their hometown, but with such an impressive debut album at their side in Organic Vessels, this is the year that they truly step out and introduce themselves to the world.
“Technically proficient, beautifully moving, heavy Sigur-rock..." Luke Butcher, The Music.com
