About
Melbourne Young Guns Still Swingin’ After Ten Years. Frankie Wants Out have been making music in Melbourne and across Australia for the past 10 years. In late 2005 the band started off by playing small jazz joints on Smith St, Fitzroy and have gone on to play at some of Melbourne's finest venues, including regular performances at The Corner Hotel, The Evelyn, The Espy, The Northcote Social Club, The Blue Diamond and Red Bennies, plus many, many more. They have built a national following through several tours and festivals as well as supporting US swing legends Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Cherry Poppin' Daddies. With two EP’s (The Melbourne Way & Trouble) and on LP (Prohibition) under their belts, they have received airplay on Australia’s leading radio stations and have appeared on national TV on several occasions.
