Bio

Frighteners are a five-piece from Perth, WA. The band are back with their single 'Golden Tongue'. Recorded by Sam Ford (Abbe May, Pond) at Tone City studio. The track explores the dynamics between soaring choruses and tight grooving verses, ebbing and flowing between the two with reverb-laden riffs, solid melodies and insightful lyrics. Currently they are writing their first LP set for 2013 release. www.soundcloud.com/frighteners www.facebook.com/thefrighteners "...they definitely get points for confidence, significantly aided by crowd-stirring and encouragement from Adair. He is a true frontman and charmed the pants off everyone in the joint, shaking his hair with style." - Spaceship News “...With a professionalism that can be admired, Frighteners slowed down the mood as they gave the audience a dose of indie alternative rock. From mellow melodic and catchy tunes to thick up-beat toe tappers these gentlemen made their set fly by as their range of rhythms and sounds gave them a maturity beyond their years.” – DRUM MEDIA

This is some solid, pacey and dark rock. Hearing it I'd say the band could potentially reach some greater heights as it's all performed quite tightly.
