Between 1985 and 1990 became one of the premier Ska bands of Australia touring the East Coast of Australia regularly.Mainstrem radio stations picked up on the infectious beats and The Funaddicts quickly used the exposure to bring SKA to the wider public.First single What's Going On/Mandela debuted at no1 and stayed there for a previosly uncharted 8 weeks on independant charts.Things were really looking big for the future,however live venues started to become scarce and forced the band into a different direction.The decision was made, rather than taint the bands Ska roots,the name would be changed and The Funaddicts would be put on hold.A re-union show late in 1990 confirmed to all that the band was still a formidable unit,however family and work commitments with band members forced them to again put things on ice.Over Twenty Years later,the band is Recording again and also hope to digital re-release some of the older tracks when they get time.For now we want to go down well in UK ...
