It has been a big three years for Further Earth releasing two highly acclaimed EP’s touring with the likes of Gyroscope, The Getaway Plan, Calling All Cars, Closure In Moscow, Strangers and Floating Me. Scoring a highly coveted spot on the Big Day Out line up and headlining a national tour of their own, recording with Aria Award nominee producer/engineer Forrester Savell and internationally sought after producer Alan Brey and receiving airplay on over 40 stations world wide including Triple J and Triple J Unearthed. As well as Receiving praise around the country for example a Blunt Magazine feature with a 5/5 star review alongside juggernauts Tame Impala and attracting the attention of the majors, its safe to say it has been a busy 3 years! Further Earth is currently in pre production mode developing their upcoming single which will be a prelude to the highly anticipated debut album from the Perth five piece. Keep an ear out for their single early 2014, its going to be a big year…

I really dig this breed of heavy rock a la Cog, Karnivool with great swooping vocals and moody production. This manages to be inspired by that and nearly sidesteps the shadow of its influences. Great stuff.
