In an exploding hip hop scene, Sydney-based artist Gavver is steadily carving out his lane. With a wide range of influences from JID to Justin Timberlake, Gavver combines melodic vocals reminiscent of pop and R&B classics with the punchy drums and intricate flows of hip-hop. His debut 2018 EP “Why Not” with single “Act One” reached over 30,000 global streams with no major playlisting and provided an introduction to Gavver’s energetic tongue-in-cheek lyrics and attitude. His next two singles “Threat” and “True”, full of gorgeous layered harmonies and playful lyrics over sliding 808s, highlighted Gavver’s melodic and energetic evolution. Receiving airplay on FBi Radio and 4ZZZ and placements on Spotify playlists from Cool Accidents and Digster, the tracks proved Gavver has no plans of stopping.
