Bio

Jordan “Gekkz” Seden is a 23 year old aspiring Hip-Hop artist hailing from the tropical Far North Qld city of Cairns. Some of “Gekkz” earliest musical memories and influences from as early as 2yrs of age included listening to hip hop artists such as ”MC Hammer”, “Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince” on TV program ‘Rage’. Writing rhymes in his exercise books in class soon turned serious as he connected with upcoming fellow hip-hop artist Jordan Oliver to write and record his first mixtape titled ‘The Haggadz Mixtape’. “Gekkz” first taste of live performance came shortly after in Cairns’s “’TimeOut ‘Battle of the Bands” as well as several opening act performances for R&B Superclub at venue ‘Gilligans’ Nightclub. Whilst he hosted and emceed at local Cairns clubs for a period, “Gekkz” recent defining moment came when he performed as the opening act for both ‘Bone Thugz n Harmony’ and 2Pac’s group ‘Outlawz’. The common theme in “Gekkz” lyrics is positivity and growth even though he draws from the struggle of growing up in the culturally diverse and sometimes racially charged atmosphere of the Cairns city and suburbs. His clever use of lyrical mastery not only speaks of storytelling, as it evokes clear imagery to the listener, but also conveys numerous positive and thought provoking messages. Already being touted as a ‘Wordsmith’ by local Melbourne MC “Lady Lash”, who features on EP Single ‘What Does It Take’, “Gekkz” is looking forward to building his repertoire and profile in the local Melbourne music scene as well as nationally through live performances and hopes to achieve a chart topping Single in the future.

...and a half. Strong effort here. You can hear the brother's potential through his natural skill in delivery and lyrics. I feel if you give him a few more years to tighten up his craft, this guy could really be doing something. Well done cuz.
