Georgia Fields’ postcard-perfect pop combines the astral with the ordinary, earning her a reputation as one of Melbourne’s brightest emerging artists.
In her eclectic career to date the singer-songwriter has collaborated with a string section from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, played hundreds of shows (from shop-front windows to festival main stages), and sung duets with such Australian luminaries as indie-folk doyenne Clare Bowditch and grunge pioneer Kim Salmon.
Now, Fields steps into a realm of her own with the release of her highly anticipated second album, ‘Astral Debris’ (due Friday 2 September). Ambitious, boldly orchestrated and emotionally rich, the record is already garnering praise with The Herald Sun declaring it as “her finest, most expansive work yet”.
