Bio
Georgie Neilsen is a 20 year old Indie pop/rock/folk singer-songwriter raised in the humble suburbs of Brisbane. She began singing in a family band at the age of 14 and has fronted the recently disbanded Georgie Neilsen and the Growing Pains since 2017. With the Growing Pains, Georgie frequented venues in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, supporting artists such as The Jensens and Donny Benét, as well as featuring on festival lineups, including: Sunlit Sounds, the Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, and the Hidden Lanes Festival. Georgie has an abundance of experience as a session vocalist, and has worked alongside numerous Brisbane bands including Strange Seed, Great Sage, and the up and coming Action
Slacks. In 2019, Georgie was fortunate enough to appear in the cast of Women in Voice, alongside Jenny Wynter, Queenie van de Zandt, Alison St. Ledger, Pauline Maudy and her mother, Barb Fordham.
Inspired by artists such as Florence and the Machine, The Preatures, Haim, and Fleetwood Mac, Georgie has found songwriting and singing to be an important outlet, using her songs derived from real experiences to express truth, purpose, and vulnerability.

You're cool, this is cool and anyone who listens to this will be ten times cooler than they were two minutes and fifty six seconds beforehand.
