Germán Silva Germán Silva, an Australian based singer, songwriter and artist born in Chile, has established his music career in Australia for over 15 years. Today he begins to open doors on an international level, with his new hit single “I’m Gonna Live”. The song also features US Latin superstar singer Jon Secada. Germán has had his share of success as a recognised Latin artist, within the Australian music industry. Having performed and recorded part of the international anthem for World Youth Day 2008, gave him the opportunity to showcase his voice in front of Pope Benedict and 500,000 people in Sydney. Germán represented the voice of the Spanish speakers from around the world in a major event, with an estimated worlwide TV audience of 1.5 billion people. During his career, Germán has worked and shared the stage with highly acclaimed international artist such as Ricky Martin and well known Australian artist Guy Sebastian. In 2012 he was the opening act for one of Latin music’s most distinguished singer’s, Juan Luis Guerra. In addition to this he has performed on television, at prestigious festivals and corporate events including the birthday celebration for accomplished actress Rachel Griffiths. The single “I’m Gonna Live” was recorded and produced in Miami, USA , by renowned music producer Rudy Perez. It was written by Rudy Perez, Jon Secada and Germán Silva. The song has a positive message and encourages people to have a motivational and an uplifting approach to life. Its energetic percussive rhythm and modern contemporary sounds make the song radio friendly. The lyrics are in English and a few words and phrases in Spanish, it’s a crossover Spanglish song.
