part ghost + part flesh = all words David Stavanger a.k.a. Ghostboy emerged from between two QLD bedroom walls in 2004 & became the Performance Poetry World Cup Champion 2005. He has been a guest performer on ABC, RRR, & Triple J radio in 2006 and has supported live the likes of The Red Paintings, Chris Bailey (The Saints), MC Trey and Sam Hunt (NZ). In 2006 he will also be performing as a featured guest with Miles Merrill/ The Spokes at Woodford Folk Festival. His first CD - If I was a Rock'N'Roll Girlfriend – was released independently in 2006 featuring 20 tracks of Ghostboy's words & whispers including collaborations with the likes of Brisbane's glamorous 4 piece Golden Virtues on everything from female vocals, violin, flute, guitar & vibroslap; poetess Suzanne Jones, QLD underground DJ Nefarius (aka the beat wizard) and Iceland's enigmatic Bremen Town Musician. “It’s in the now.
