Bio

Giant Dwarf is a five-piece fuzz band with primarily heavy, psychedelic, stoner rock leanings, hailing from the Wild West of Oz.

Off the back of their debut release, 2019 saw Giant Dwarf support international heavyweights of stoner rock 1000mods (Greece). A single from Giant Dwarf’s LP “Repeat After Defeat” was also selected to feature as the opening track on a Metal Hammer compilation that moved 10,000 copies across Europe.

In 2020 they played alongside genre-defining bands Truckfighters (Sweden), Yawning Man (USA) and Corrosion of Conformity (USA), and their single "Black Thumb" was nominated in the Heavy category for WAM Song of the Year.

Last year Giant Dwarf were due to play the seventh annual Mojo Burning in Brisbane, headlined by Temples (UK) and Kadavar (Germany). Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 Mojo Burning has been rescheduled with their appearance and subsequent eastern states tour put on hold.

So far 2021 has seen Giant Dwarf frequently tearing up the stage in their hometown, including at Perth Festival, while they continue to work on their second album.

Got a few more black digits from raising the horns and plunging them into this thundering rocky abyss.
