Somebody to Love’, the debut single from Gina Balenzano has just been released. The single carries a universal message, but the songs inception cuts even deeper. A collaboration of the most peculiar and beautiful kind. How a semi non-verbal songwriter, a young singer/songwriter, and a veteran rocker came together is a tale in itself. Inspiring this unique creation, ‘Somebody to Love’ began with a profoundly heartfelt narrative in the form of lyrics written by Maddie Browne, whom has just begun a journey with The Vibe, (a new centre designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities; supporting and nurturing self-realisation and creative endeavours). Maddie had passed these lyrics to her friend, Gina Balenzano, a gifted young singer who in turn, passed on a demo she had made of the evolving song, to seasoned songwriter/producer Grant Walmsley.
