Brisbane Indie Punk/Rock Outfit, Girl With Cake consists of members; Sarah Vardy (guitar, keys and vocals), drummer Ty Noble, and Jasmin Fiske (bass, violin and vocals). The band began playing gigs in 2005 as an all-girl three piece but have gone through many changes to arrive at their current line-up as a three piece. Girl With Cake describe their sound as a mighty mash of indie garage punk rock with many soft/heavy contrasts. The band has built an excellent reputation locally due to their awesome live performances that are packed with energy and enthusiasm. The band have a wide array of influences such as Sleater Kinney, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Knife, Tori Amos, Dresden Dolls, Le Tigre, Nine Inch Nails and many more. In the past five years, the band have released four EP's, The First Cut (2005), Stick To Your Guns (2006), Forget Me, Rot (2011), Drowned Not Dead (2012).
