Bio

Girl From Mars are a 4 piece indie rock outfit from Perth, WA. Filled with angsty lyrics and driving bass, Girl From Mars draws their inspiration from the likes of Camp Cope, Courtney Barnett and Ruby Fields. Lead singer Synaed ties together the sound with honest, lyrical storytelling and an attitude that makes old white men squirm.

GFM started as a 3 piece in late 2018. After a slow start to 2019, GFM started to make waves around the local community and very quickly earned themselves a support slot for The Hard Aches in the middle of the year. GFM shortly afterwards added a 4th member into their ranks and quickly gained support slots for The Vanns and their first international support, Bob Log III, to their resume.

Girl From Mars went into the studio at the end of 2019, and released their debut single "Franking Credits", a post election blues punk song about being fed up with this conservative government, in July of 2020. Available on all good streaming services.

As lockdown unwinds in WA, GFM plan to head back into the studio to record their second single, and begin work on their debut EP.

keen to hear more from this band, i'm liking the honesty and reflection coming through with those moreish riffs in tow.
