Bio

Cruising on glowing synths, gritty drum-machines, and stratospheric vocals, GL’s music is a cosmic dream-sequence not unlike a lost reel from the mid-80s.

Signed on first listen by newly-minted Sydney label Plastic World (home to releases from Retiree, Alba, Tuff Sherm and Cassius Select), the duo’s debut EP Love Hexagon will introduce their pulsating sound with lead singles Won’t You See AND What Happened to Us plus a remix treatment from Detroit’s house don Terrence Parker. It’s a salacious introduction to GL’s romantic hedonism, and just a taste of what’s expected in the future.

Experience the sound of cruise control, dive bars, strobe lights and tape decks with GL; the debut release out soon on Plastic World.

In the 2019 thriller 'Contagious', Ella Thomson and Graeme Pogson star as GL. The duo must confront an outbreak of grooves and spicy Italo vibes that have infected the Melbourne scene. **** stars, certified fresh

That synth pop sound is so pillowy soft but I ain't resting, just straight boogie-ing.

after a couple of quiet years gl return with a loungey, 70s tinged one full of mystery and intrigue and i'm happy that they're back spinning a web around me.
