Bio

Go Violets are a band from Brisbane, Australia. With fast drums, melodic guitars and impeccable vocal harmonies, Go Violets’ influences hark back to bands like The Ramones, Tiger Trap and The Shangri-Las, while their own songs nod between ‘60s garage and ‘90s pop. Go Violets have just debuted their first EP 'Heart Slice'. Recorded at Applewood Lane and produced by Sean Cook (Big Scary, Velociraptor, Jeremy Neale, Jungle Giants) of former Yves Klein Blue, and mastered by Sterling Sound’s Greg Calbi, the EP is the best collection and rendition of their material to date. It includes single ‘Wanted’, a stand out track from the EP mixed in NYC by Doug Boehm (Girls, Dr Dog, The Vines). I remember this one from Bigsound gig! And then I was thinking, 'man, I wish the Govies (what we call you around the office) would upload this gem to Unearthed'. Sweet and nicely faded.

You had me at Shake A Leg but I actually think this one trumps it. Such a charming, warm feeling that's never forced, like it's just waiting to score a Wes Anderson montage.

Bittersweet! It's definitely sweet, but as long as there's a nice dash of bitterness i keep coming back. A minor chord at least. So thanks for that, excited by this whole thing.
