The Governors are a loud original rock'n'punk'n'surf'n'stomp'n'roll three piece from Toowoomba, Australia. Since 2010, The Governors have been playing the live local circuit with their 70's punk inspired stripped back, upbeat, Rock'n'Roll with a 50's/60's backbeat Writing songs influenced by artists as diverse as The Clash, The Ramones, Johnny Cash, The Kinks and the 50's surf/rockabilly bands, The Governors have written a host of melodious, quick-paced songs to get your feet a-movin' and your blood a-pumpin'. We are committed to a DIY approach to our music and do it basically for shits'n'giggles! Their first EP "It's....The Governors" was recorded on an iPad and independently released in September 2012 and is available on iTunes.
