The Hadron Colliders are an indie rock band consisting mostly of inner west residents from Sydney.
Formed in May 2012, the band debuted at the Lewisham Hotel in October 2012 and returned to headline at the Lewisham Hotel that December. They were invited to take part in the World Vision 40 Hour Music Marathon in November 2012 as one of forty bands selected to play out of more than 150 bands.
The band has also played at the Cat & Fiddle Hotel in Balmain, a local for some of the members as well as other iconic venues around Sydney, including Petersham Bowling Club, Annandale Hotel and Lazybones Lounge.
The Hadron Colliders play original material that is melodic, catchy and intelligent. Influences can be detected from a number of iconic Australian bands, such as The Church, The Go-Betweens, Died Pretty and the Underground Lovers, as well as international bands such as REM, the Jesus and Mary Chain and The Cult.
