Bio

DIY emerging songstress Halle Dot is the project and alter-ego of Sarah Carey. She views it as almost like having a split personality. Halle is honest, bold and sassy. Sarah is more reserved and introverted. Combining these traits creates a beautiful cocktail of confidence, empowerment and vulnerability.

Sarah’s mission is to teach her life experiences through her poetic writing. She started singing at age 3, writing songs at age 8 and then later spent 3 years in London in various studios with different artists and producers developing her sound. She is currently residing in Sydney, but is originally from a small country town called Canungra in the Gold Coast hinterlands.

These days she prides herself in wearing multiple hats. She’s a singer, songwriter, musician and is currently completing her bachelor in Audio Engineering. She likes to feel in control of her project during every step of the process, which can be anything from the production through to the final mix and masters, down to creating all the cover arts for each song.

If Sarah isn’t working on her own ‘Halle Dot’ project you’ll find her in sessions co-writing with other artists. Since releasing 3 singles & 2 music video’s independently (which she filmed and edited in her living room during quarantine herself), ‘Halle’ shows her vulnerable side with the release of her up and coming new single ‘Here With You’.

Halle's voice on this track is something else! I mean, the track stays in this vibey lowkey gear throughout but trust me you'll be glued to hear what she does next on it.

I heard somewhere that it's all about confidence (baby) and Halle Dot's music is just brimming with it. A serious bop.
