Bio
From a young age Hallie has never feared vulnerability in front of an audience. Infact,
that is where the 20 year-old pop-rock artist thrives. Hallie’s innate aptitude to humorously comment on ordinary society, and express her own playfully honest yet relatable stories, demonstrates self awareness beyond her years. After winning the Triple J Unearthed Bigsound Competition 2019, Hallie was made a Triple J Unearthed feature artist. Following an incredible run of Bigsound shows, Hallie’s debut EP, ‘Wink Wink Nudge Nudge’, came out late last year, receiving positive reception across the country. Songs off the EP were added to Spotify’s Fresh Finds as well as added to Triple J Unearthed Rotation and received spot plays on Triple J. With the EP, Hallie released a music video for her song, ‘Nice Like Rice’. The music video was added to Rage, received highly commended at the 2020 QMAS and was a finalist in Reel Music Video Film Festival. On the live front, Hallie spent the better part of last year touring her EP along the east-coast as well as supporting Spacey Jane, Stella Donnelly and touring with Holy Holy on their album tour.
Meet this week's feature artist Hallie!

OOOFT. Does Hallie give songwriting lessons? I'd smash subscribe. The way this lets the breezier rock verses support her eloquent verses and melodies, then takes centre stage when her wise words recede = smart stuff.

"Always someone there, but we're trained to find reasons not to like them." Ay why you gotta read me like that in the first 10 seconds?

The build to that key change at the 2.40 mark was the icing on the cake for me.
