Bio

After two and a half years of travelling, writing, and touring between France and the UK, Harley and The Haymakers are back with a fresh new banger and album in the works.

Counting Song sees Harley and the Haymakers team up with producer John Willsteed (The Go Betweens) to deliver an uplifting and unashamedly joyous love song for the numbers 1 to 9.

It's a big hug for yer Monday morning, a warm bowl of porridge, leftover sand from the beach and fish n chips.

It's also the first single from their upcoming album Little Songs For Big People, set to be released later this year.

This June/July, Harley Young and The Haymakers will hit the road to launch their new single playing with jangle cats Go Get Mum, Dumb Things plus other legends

Melbourne 30 June
The Grace Darling
w/Go Get Mum

Hobart 14 July
The Brisbane Hotel
w/The Cool Beanz + Yoni & The Steamers

This is adorable. Just like Blind Melon's 'The Magic Number', it's hard to tell if it's for kids or for everyone but I dig it anyway.

Harley's always had a sharp and literate (or rather numerate) streak to his songwriting and it's at the fore here. I reckon this might be a little too cute for some but others are going to be madly grinning in between bops.

This is a sweet tune from Harley who is quickly lining up a string of buoyant, affable indie pop hits.
