Bio

Hazy aka Josh Nicholas is a Sydney-based underground music producer, songwriter and DJ. Spends most of his time in dark rooms or on ‘the road’ working in remote Indigenous communities all over the country. He’s widely know for his unique style of gigantic, base- heavy future trap beats, cut with funk and dub/reggae. Josh is a full-time music producer for charity organisation Desert Pea Media, and writes/produces compositions for song writing and film projects with remote communities all over Australia for the past 8 years. Hazy has establishing himself as an artist in his own right collaborating with artists from a diverse range of genres. Partnering with Sydney-based clothing label ILLEQWIP, he runs a range of events with new performance formats such as ‘2Up’ a regular hip hop culture event at the Lord Gladstone Hotel in Chippendale.
