Bio

Helena Pop play sweet anthemic folk songs. We just want you to have a good time, and for you to let others have a good time.

Helena Pop began when double bassist Ben Drury sat on a dingy basement stage in Canberra next to singer-songwriter Jack Livingston who was playing some sad songs. They've shared the stage with the likes of AJJ, Sugarcanes, Ceres and Jess Locke and were nominated for a NLMA in 2017 for Live Act of the Year.

Helena Pop are not for the faint-hearted. You've got the double bass backbone, rapid rise and fall sequences, and a bunch of commanding vocal moments. There's undeniably A LOT going on in this 5 minute slice of folk-rock - yet the charm still trickles through. Good stuff.
