Hello Jane sounds like Carole King had a baby with Paul Kelly and became friends with Missy Higgins; a classic blend of folk storytelling, pop melody and a voice that is sweet a pie.
There is a beautiful silence in the audience that is all too familiar for emerging singer/songwriter Hello Jane in the first moments of any performance. It is the combination of her effortlessly angelic voice that in harmony with her 'get to the point’ songwriting that stops you in your tracks and holds you in its grip until the very end of the show.
Despite never envisioning a career as a singer or songwriter, it was the craft of writing and listening to old records that drew Hello Jane to putting pen to paper. Suddenly songs that had been crafted alone in her bedroom were being performed finding their way into the hearts and minds of audiences in her hometown of Brisbane. And before she knew what she was in for she had a fancy piece of paper from a big old college that gave her a license to write songs and perform original music. Funny right? But heck, here she goes.
It was the beginning of 2020 that Hello Jane released her debut single ‘Everything’s Alright, followed by a debut tour gaining success with National Radio play and selling out intimate venues along the coast of Queensland. Having been no stranger to performing as a solo artist on notable stages including Toowoomba Flower Festival, Gympie Muster Music Festival and Redfest Strawberry Festival, Hello Jane now performs with a full band, bringing to life her capacity to get a crowd grooving only moments after they have almost shed a tear.
