Who is Henry J. Sawyer? He’s a rambler, a gambler, and a well-mannered cowboy. No one quite knows where he came from - he’s kind’a always been there. He’s rambled from west to east across the USA, but Sawyer’s inspiration lies deep in the heart of Texas. Classic western wear, on stage and off, as well as the music made by pioneers like Jerry Jeff Walker, Doug Sahm, Brooks & Dunn and George Strait. “Some people have an affinity for Tennessee, or California, but Texas is a big place that has these nuances depending where you are” he said. “There’s a little bit of everything (in Texas)”. Dipping deep into the well of American roots music, Sawyer and his band work from a repertoire of original songs.
