Artist:Hey Big Aki

Two years ago, after releasing their first EP, Hey Big Aki retreated into their bedrooms. Like a grand old Japanese Camphor tree that had just been felled, they crashed into their beds, disheartened and exhausted. Growing up was hard, loving was hard, becoming beautiful was hard. Tired, they closed their eyes and dreamt: about their lives and those of their friends - ordinary people, working, struggling, making art, learning to love. About their city; how there was beauty everywhere, made by the people who lived there. And they began to put to record all of what they saw and felt, in music and in words. And so it came to be that Hey Big Aki dreamt and produced Venera, in an attic and a bedroom. It was a record of who they were. To be released 8 March 2013.
