The first thing you should sip in the morning… Hot Coffee are a 4-piece hip-hop/soul and dance/funk fusion born out of the Gold Coast in Queensland. Drawing upon influences from Anderson Paak., Mac Miller, Tom Misch, Jamiroqui and Frank Ocean, Hot Coffee have been leaving their mark across South East Queensland with eclectic and electric live shows for several years that bring that certain energy that only the tastiest of caffeinated beverages can bring.
The four boys hail from completely polarizing musical backgrounds, ranging from deep hip-hop influences, to electronica and house, all the way classic rock and roll. The result is a groovy amalgamation of sounds that is unique and stimulating to hear.
Having initially started as a two-piece electronic hip/hop duo for the first year of creation, the band has expanded to a four piece in the past few months as part of a renewal of their sound that includes live keys, guitars, bass and vocals.
There is no doubt these four cheeky boys from the Coast have a lot to offer in the coming months and it wouldn’t go astray to keep an eye out for this energetic group.
