Artist:Houndsteeth

After forming late 2011, indie rock quartet Houndsteeth have been hard at work playing tonnes of gigs all over Melbourne and fine tuning their sound. With the band bringing a blend of influences and techniques, Houndsteeth weave together classic rock and progressive guitar sounds, earnest lyrics and passionate dynamic to create their unique sound. Penny and Alex take turns in fronting the band, harmonising and delivering a spectrum of fast and heavy grunge tracks, pop punk-esque tunes and chilled out alternative acoustic songs. In October the band hit Pots and Pans Studio with engineer Joe Hammond and recorded their debut EP, Poisons, which is due for release in February 2013. They have just launched their first single off the EP, Apparently I Do – a defining indie rock number for the band. The band have just launched their début EP Poisons.
