Bio

Releasing their debut album Squalls to wide critical acclaim in 2012, and inspired by an Australian tour with the Mark Lanegan Band, Howl at the Moon have been writing, self-recording and producing their second effort (tentatively titled A Slave to the Ghost) to be released mid-2015.

The first single, Russian Thistle, is a bristling discourse on the tragedy of a decaying environment and the emotional and physical bravery that one must have in order to endure inevitable hardships.

There's a dark John Lennon vibe to this - especially in the chord progression. The more I hear this band, the more I want to hear more from this band.

Really excellent song guys, there's a driving darkness to it but still plenty of melody and some tidy 90's riffs throughout. I like this a lot.

Missed this song late last year, but glad I came across it now. It's a winner. Please tell me all your songs are this cool?
